BP's current market cap is £68bn, and have paid out over £100bn in dividends.

Equinor, Norway's Statoil is currently worth $62bn and Norway still owns 67% of it.

The UK has also sold off over £400bn worth of council houses.


States selling their capital like that is fucking idiotic. Privatisation has been, in most cases, pretty terrible. I'll concede that privatisation of British Airways was good and British Leyland was a fucking disaster zone.
