Have you ever actually listened to LGBT+ people speaking about their experiences of realising they are gay/bi etc and how they come out? Very often they live a lie before that happens. Varadkar was no different.
Yes, and it would have taken courage to come out amd admit it then.

But by the time he did admit it, it took little to none as he could see no one would care.

What are you failing to understand here? Courage is fearing consequences and doing something in spite of it. He knew there would be no consequences by the time he came out. Therefore, it took no courage.

Please point out where I either Varadkar or Graham were good guys.

Is that what you took from what I wrote - that you thought Graham was a good guy?????? I said you vilified him FFS

As for Varadkar you said he "played a huge role in marriage equality that LGBT+ people now have."

You do realise he came out before the referendum ya? It was by no means a certainty that it would pass.

So I don’t say Varadkar was a good guy and didn’t say Graham would have been had he come out.

Great we got there in the end.

You don't think that extolling someone as having "played a huge role in marriage equality that LGBT+ people now have." were the actions of a good guy????? Wow, have you some issue with the marriage equality act or what?

You made a silly statement, you got called on it and were shown up. Own it and try to move on.

Christ almighty you’re just being ridiculous now.

I’ve no interest in pushing a rope up a hill today.

And yet you tried to tell us a TD that voted against Gay rights (despite being gay himself) "played a huge role in marriage equality that LGBT+ people now have."

So?

He'd have been fairly sure that him coming out as a gay man would have no adverse consequences for his political career.

He did the calculations fella. No bravery involved. Now if you want to talk about David Norris who has been an advocate for gay rights long before it was "comfortable " to be, that's real courage.

I just hope I’ll never be as cyclical as what you’re espousing.
