Honky, I didn't take your comment as meaning that those of us who have trained for marathons are self-centred. So no worries there, mate. I was just saying, you'd be surprised where you can find time! I do get the feeling though that your coaching would probably be an issue alright. And we all have our own different situations with work, partner, families and so on.
I still wouldn't count it out though. I knew one lad, one of my best friends here, who ran a good few marathons on 2 to 3 runs a week. Not ideal like, and admittedly he's a Kerryman.....but he did do it. He used to do em in the 3.40 to 3.50 range. I always wondered what he could have achieved with proper training.
