Forgot to mention the shoes!! Went with Puma Deviate Elite 3... Did the job. Wasn't going to go for the top top range... For an obvious reason 😀. Saw lots of ASICS Metaspeed, Adidas, some Hoka, some Nike (nothing like 5 years ago!) and some Puma, including the Fast 3.
 
Aghada AC are doing a 24 run to raise funds for Laura Lynn foundation, Runners going out at hourly sections to do 10k,
Joined in last night, Cold but find once you got going, 3 miles along the path to Aghada Gaa and turn and back to whitegate,

Well done Carmona! I don’t check in here as often as I used to but will try to remedy that in the new year. Would love to do Valencia at some point. Have an entry for Chicago next year but maybe ‘27??
 
I watched a doc on the Norseman extreme triathlon last night.. Jesus, it’s inspiring stuff, dog rough to complete

3.8km swim straight course, starting in the dark, then onto the bike for a 180km rolling course with about 4 stiff climbs, and then onto with the runners for a full marathon that ends with running you up a focking mountain on scree for a lot of the last 10km

The winners completing that in just under 10 hours, absolute machines

The lads would be just getting ready to start and BT would arrive back from his warm up lap,

Interesting that. I ran Valencia 2 yrs ago and i was taken aback by how few of the locals had any form of supershoe on.
Ferghal Curtin ran that recent marathon record in Puma Fast's. They are geared for distances up to HM. One of the lads ran Waterford HM in them recently and was well impressed. Worth the €300!

I think the elites are using Puma Fast for marathon too, Smurf.
