Training Run Times

I got away on holidays Friday so using it get get training back on track
Saturday- 70km over the Conor Pass on the bike
Sunday- 8km run
Monday - 1km sea swim, first time this year. Rough conditions but got out feeling magic
Today - 5km run

The weather has been 30 degree sunshine to lashing rain and everything in between so just going with whatever works on the day as opposed to having a set plan. I’ll get back in the sea tomorrow
Any day we can get out is a good day, 4 mile race in fermoy Friday I might do that

Yeah, that’s it. I’ve been injured for a lot of the last 6 months so I’m glad to be out there pain free.. other than the pain of my body telling me to cop on :)

Im in good shape on the bike but that’s the easy one, running felt good today and the swim yesterday was great. Theres something about sea swimming that’s impossible to put your finger on, feels great afterwards

Sorry to intrude. Walking is my thing guys but I hurt my left leg and it's not getting better. I have seen a doctor.
I just ordered a muscle gun and it will be here Saturday. Can anyone give me any advice on this please?

Where is the pain.

Knee, hip, ankle, groin, feet, shin calves?

Inside or outside of the sore part?

Did you wake up sore one morning or did you feel it on a walk suddenly?

Does it hurt all the time or does it go away after 10 or 15 mins of walking?

Inner thigh left leg. It's like an ache and pain and tightness. I felt it walking up bridge st about a month ago on a rainy day. It hurts when I put my weight on it (chubby)after sitting and it eases when I'm walking. The longer I move, the more it eases.
It hurts more when it rains. Managed 9 300 yesterday but bad today again. Doctor said it was muscular. I rub Fastum gel into it which helps

Very hard to know, see a physio if you can.

The fact that the doc thinks it's muscular and the fact you have gone from basically zero to loads of steps it's probably some muscular imbalance in your legs/hips.

Rest probably won't do a whole pile, your massage gun will give some relief mostly to get blood flowing to the muscle.

Try and see if you can get one of those elastic resistance bands (they sell em in the pharmacy in St Lukes for a few euros)

Do the calf raises Jimmy suggested.

Glute bridge

Put the band across your knees for this too

Clams

Straddle good morning

Check out this video from this search, straddle good morning https://g.co/kgs/LRmLj12

Isometric squat

Again you can use the band here around you knees or with your back to a wall

I am far from a professional you should see a physio but you won't do any damage to yourself with any of those. Go easy, there should be no "oh fuck" moments
