Training Run Times

Slowly getting back out there again. Work took over my life there for a while and everything was the worse for it. Took the small man pointing out that I'm always working on Saturdays to shake out, but here we are. No real plan for now but just getting out often and easily

Many moons ago my boss at the time went on a serious healthy living/running binge after one of his baby girls innocently asked him if he was pregnant one day! He lost about 3 stone and never put it back on again, turned into one of them annoying fuckers that would suggest things like a 'run meeting' to discuss work.. eh, no

JimmY - you got the 10km done in a decent time. You've had big set backs and lay offs, plenty of time to bring the time down a bit when you are ready for it. Not that long ago you couldn't have lined out for it.
Yes, I have to look at it from that point of view, My problem is lack of motivation in doing the cross training and S&C, One of the girls i run with
has really embraced it, She is constantly stretching and doing core work , She says it has certainly helped,

Well I won't be doing THAT!

Yeah lads. S&C is crucial for life in general not just running. Your squats today will be getting up off the couch in 30 years time. The gym I go to has a private class one night for a cycling club and another for a local running club. You'll always get a few that cross over into the regular classes then.

Kettle bells are great because you can fit a lot of bodies into a space and it's essentially a whole body workout given its a free weight too.

You'd get into it after a few weeks and the DOMs would lessen significantly but the benefits would keep going.
