100% on the food. You really need to fuel quickly after a tough workout. Especially as we get older. If you're looking for something quick the AllReal protein bars aren't bad for a quick bite, but you'll need more than that. If you have a nutri bullet you can lash loads in and get something quickly. Banana, milk, berries, seeds, peanut butter etc. If you can time a dinner after it then good also.I got the 17,5km done yesterday at 5.30/km pace. The run felt fine, and then a similar thing to last week happened again where I felt unwell for a good bit of the evening
Talking to a guy I know who’d have run at a decent level and he reckons it’s because I’m not eating anything when I get back, was prob 2 hours again before I did
I’ll try getting food into me quickly next weekend and hopefully that’s it, I had none of this last year but I take take a gel on those runs to test it out, haven’t bothered with that this year
I have a few of those AllReal bars actually, might try those. Thanks100% on the food. You really need to fuel quickly after a tough workout. Especially as we get older.
