Training Run Times

Jimmy, I'm up the east coast from ya (a safe distance, tf ??) but I find the heat, and humidity, worse as I get older. I'm half thinking of taking a two-week break, tbh.

Not sure 9 at night would be much better. Give it a try and report back

That's the thing that kills me. I can't sleep too well in the heat and then when you eventually doze off and you get a little cool breeze..... Time to go for a run. Two mornings now and I can honestly say I'm not tempted.

If anyone has a Dublin Marathon entry that they are not using, the transfer window is open and I would be happy to take it off your hands :) send me a DM if that works for you.

Im not saying in fit or injury free but after a couple of races in the last 2 weeks, i might be 2% fitter than i was at the start of i need something on the horizon. Thanks!

I had great plans to come bursting into the summer fighting fit and attacking the triathlons.. unfortunately reality put pay to that between work and family stuff so my training was the thing to give. I had signed up for Ballybunion yesterday, and Fenit on Saturday coming. I got in the sea for my first swim since last September 2 weeks ago, really concerned but I knocked out a good distance. I’ve had about 3 more sessions since. No nearly enough running or biking done but I have been out innate bike the last few weeks

Ballybunion was pulled due to insufficient numbers unfortunately.. I reckon people didn’t trust them after last years swim fiasco. So I made yesterday a 1250m swim/8km run brick, and was out again today on the bike for a 50km and spotted a sign for the Brandon Bay triathlon which is on tomorrow bizarrely. I had 60km with a fair whack of climbing on the bike 2 days ago as well so my legs are fairly heavy, not exactly the prep you’d have in mind but feck it

Will be interesting to see how I go, Fenit next sat then
