It was mad watching the full race go through from a single point, like a normal distribution in real time.Agreed - however, high 2:23 to win the full and only 5 under 2:30 wasn't that fast. About normal for Cork I suppose.
Women's field was very light - only one sub-3 and only 6 under 3:15
It's not a PB course though - and a huge number completed the event![]()
Median was way closer to 4hours then expected.
I'd say there was about 10 lads in with the 3hr baloons at mile 16.
3:45 was just mass of humanity (swelled by hald mara convergence), Gavin Sweeney the 3rd placer was weaving though bodies like Brian O'Driscoll in his pomp.
Water was gone by the 4:30/4:45 crowd. the walkers seemed not to mind too much. it was like they are used to it.
