I do the microwave too. It's such a pity they weren't around when I was growing up, as scraping the saucepan put me off porridge for over 30 years.Milk + Water + Microwave + Seeds (and maybe sugar or jam on the weekend. Anne and Barry stylee.)
I just put the flahavans in the bowl, water until it covers the flakes, the 1 min, stir and 1 more minute. I have it with my own brown bread and butter. I find that has its own sweetness.
