Maybe it's just in case a non-northsider overhears the conversation.I work with a girl from the Northside who when talking to her siblings says "my mam" or "my dad" instead of just mam or dad. As in "Are you calling up to my mam later". Is this a Northside thing? I'd never heard it before
So she's just letting them know that she has a mam and dad, and she actually knows who they are..
