We gave up going there. Fair auld slop the last 4-5 times we went there. Used to be a go to spot anytime up round Wilton or the hospital

It never had an atmosphere like the outpost
Too big and spread out
Passing trade mostly
Even tbe bar in the B town has more life ans theyre mostly my age

New coffee shop near there anyway
Though tbh I’d never think of going there as Wilton sc has defen coffee shops
Scone ,cream n jam and a latte for around 5/50 is in the Hi b

I remember many years ago the staff were told not to fraternise with the customers. They never wanted or needed it to be a local pub as they had enough passing trade.

Ah for sure.. I don’t think I ever went in there for a drink.. it was a food spot really.. at one stage they’d a lively evening menu upstairs along the lines if the crows nest.

God, the Crows Nest was streets ahead. ..I still remember the Cajun marinated 18 Oz T-bone steak

They tried to attract an’ upmarket’ trendy rugger shite feel to it,
Think in their minds eye they’d surgeons and such dropping in after partaking in their own’ carvery’ across the road in the CUH,

Only time I went in was I got an urgent call from my late bro Noel, could I meet him there ASAP?
I arrived 30 minutes later in my painting overalls and there he was in a suit with one of my other bros and his ol doll- married and kept it vv quiet,
