Why are these lads glamorised?

and i’ll to that, i think the first account of a black person in ireland was either a slave onboard or someone manning a viking ship. recounted as “an duine gorm” because of the sheen on their skin from the sun.

i couldn’t be bothered watching all
those viking series on netflix but i’ve read up enough on them to last a lifetime.
