Soldier F was reckoned to have killed more than just the two he's on trial for murdering, but the standard of proof was reckoned to be too high to make it stick. His attempted murder of some others, some of whom survived might be the undoing of him. But at this stage I doubt he'll spend much if indeed any time behind bars for his crimes.

Apparently during the Saville Inquiry, everyone who testified was offered immunity from prosecution, civilian, paramilitary, police and military. Soldier F did not take up this offer. If he had done , he would not be facing trial now.
