The Official Venue Bar & Lounge Thread

If I was Con Dennehy I'd be calling my solicitor and getting ready for the easiest open and shut case ever.

They've essentially massively devalued his pub. If he wanted to sell the place he'd never attract a buyer, knowing that the place could be levelled in a few years.

Although knowing our government they'd probably offer him way over the odds for the place if they needed to aquire it. They cant just tell him to get out.

Does Con actually own the bar or is he just leasing it?

Property in the area around a Luas is likely to rise in price I think, after the initial fall due to 10 years of road-works, dust, dirt, and noise

Era I guarantee to you that a Cork Luas will never happen. There is absolutely zero chance of it ever coming to fruition.

Cork is a third world country in an Irish context, as the event centre has proven. Of course our Cork taoiseach is going to make promises like this, but he reality is that he's talking out of his arse.

Shouldn’t an independent media be regularly questioning such cases of our Taoiseach “talking out his arse”?

Ah the government doesn't do responsibility.

Its all 'international obligations' and 'EU signatories' whenever something is going south.

The opposition have been giving them a free pass on a range of issues. The nonsense about speaking time when there real issues that needed addressing is just the latest in their series of blunders.

How so?

I dont think he'd succeed in winning a penny. CPO's and public consultations are a normal part of a proposal like this. Chances are it wont happen as others have said

The proposed motorway to Limerick goes through my father in laws house.. hasn't cost him a second of thought

I've no doubt Con will be fine, he's a lifelong FFer (Martin's past election agent or something like that ?).
