The Official PROC Restaurant review thread.

I dined in Eala Bhan in Sligo a few nights ago.

It's quite upmarket, the type of place most of the proles on here will never experience, so I'm very generously sharing some photos here.

The bottle of prosecco was sent over compliments of the owner, who is a friend of mine. I don't drink Prosecco so I gave most of the bottle to this couple at a table near us. They were delighted and I was hoping it might open the door to a foursome or something, but alas.

The food was 10/10. My starter was scallops with pork belly. Mains was a duo of sea trout and sea bream, with a saffron risotto. Dessert was a chocolate and hazelnut dome.

Total price came to €0.00. It pays to know the owner. Would recommend.

🤔
Looks cracking Merch.
How much did you leave as a tip?

We were in the Glass Curtain for the first time recently. Pricey but impressive, the Mrs and myself shared the black sole, it was very tasty. Couple with us went for the duck, had a piece and thought it was a bit chewy but they loved it.

Also stayed in Ard na Sidhe country house near killorglin recently and had dinner there. Beautiful setting on Lake Caragh and the dinner wasn’t too bad either. I went for the hake which was very nice. The Mrs went for the duck, again I thought it was chewy. I think it’s just the way restaurants cook duck medium well whereas I am used to the Golden Wok’s crispy duck with plum sauce as my hangover dish of choice!!
