Not strictly a restaurant but I’ve been in to Paddy The Farmers twice recently for grub.

Never really warmed to the place as a pub, but as a GastroPub it is excellent.

The food is tasty and very good value, 15/20 and a decent pint. And the staff are friendly and efficient.

We’ll be going back soon. 8/10

Wouldn’t know the names of any of the staff in there tbh. Used go elsewhere in that neighbourhood for a pint but stopped in there last week for grub on the way to town, and twas great and we went again yesterday and impressed again.

It's a great spot for a bit of food and one of my favorite places for a match. Nothing better than setting up shop at the bar with a pint, a plate of nachos, and a big TV in front of you. Fair bit of eye candy behind the bar too.

Who knows what will happen to it now that it's been sold. Sean is a very nice guy and I hope that whoever bought it keeps the staff on as they're a good crew.

They do bacon and cabbage every Friday - top class.

The food trucks on Paul Street are going.

I know of one publican who's pub is nowhere near Paul Street, who made a complaint to the council that the trucks weren't paying commercial rates and it was unfair on all the businesses who are.

Must admit I've never eaten from one of those trucks in Paul Street but I regularly get stuff from Burritos and Blues. Thought something like those food trucks generally added to the place tbh.

Burritos and Blues is fantastic. One of my favorite spots in town, they really know how to do a salsa

Honestly that square has been a breath of fresh air to the city, nice place to sit down and have a coffee outdoors.

Before it was manky dirty and overrun with junkies loitering and harassing people, since the new owners of the shopping center took it over they cleaned it up and controlled it with private security.

I understand the point other businesses who are paying rates to sell food in the area have so a compromise should be sought to resolve that rather than just shutting it down.

We were thinking of going to Baltimore for a weekend but everything is booked out the weekend we want to go. I have heard Dungarvan is a decent spot these days, does anyone have a recommendation for a good restaurant down there or nearby?
