The rooms are about 5 doors up, they hang a basket with muffins and pastry and the like on your door so don't need to do the death shuffle for breakfast. it was nearly the nicest part of our stay and the grub was top notch

I was in Motz's burger joint in July 2024 when I was over in New York for my brother's 40th birthday. It was pretty good but not worth the hype - though surprisingly - there wasn't a queue at all.

They do really sort of push the fried onion burger on you - it's Motz's signature. Myself and the brother ordered one single onion burger plus one single smash burger and split them. We both agreed that the smash burger was better.

Neither of the burgers were as good as the ones served in the little place hidden inside the Meridien Hotel near Central Park 20 odd years ago.

Best burger in the US is still either the original Au Cheval on Randolph St. (which has not become a bit of a chain) or Red Hot Ranch - both in Chicago.

If you're in that London in the near future - Jupiter Burger in Hackney/Bethnal Green is extremely tasty and worth your time. Blacklock does a very good burger too.

I wish I'd known about him when I was last in NYC. I just ate slices of pizza for two weeks when I was there.

Despite all the problems with America, their food scene is absolutley unparalleled.

I'd have to disagree with you there, Moe - London will give you everything that the US has to offer and more on a short hop from Cork.

Went to the kingsley for lunch today. Herself ordered the curry and I got the steak sandwich. I asked for it medium with no mushrooms,but did I get it? Nah.
