The Official PROC Restaurant review thread.

You should’ve mentioned you know me from the internet, they would have made an exception.

Na in all fairness I’d imagine the kitchen staff have been worked to the bone over the past few weeks and they aren’t operating at full capacity which is fair enough
Mate, it’s a toasted sandwich…

Do you know where I wouldn't recommend?

The South fucking County in Douglas.

I planned my whole day around the place today after seeing StuffYs post about their Christmas toastie.

Lunch served til 4. Nice one. Do my bits and bobs around home, get the 3pm bus out to Douglas, pick up dinner in M&S, and then head over to the SC for my toastie.

Get shown to my table, order a drink while I peruse the menu.

"Sorry, where are the toasties, I can't seem to find them on the menu."

"Oh, we aren't doing toasties during Christmas".

What in the name of actual fuck.

I'm actually angry. I'm going to have my latte and leave before I scream at someone.

Over to Douglas Shopping Centre and fucking Puccinos or somewhere for a toastie instead.

Fuck 2025. And you know what, fuck 2026 too. And fuck Sinn Fein.
Only in Douglas would they not be doing their Christmas special toasties at Christmas.
The proverbial chokers

Ffs Crusty… they haven’t exactly been sorting out world hunger.. Obesity is the issue in that part of town..
At the end of the day it’s a toasted sandwich, which even if not on the menu a place should sort for a fella.

Had the buffalo wings from the Wings place in the Marina Market today and I have to say they were VERY tasty. The guy on the counter with the Pirates of the Carribbean tache was very helpful when I was floundering on what to choose.

The place is a goldmine.

Worth a try?
What are the 3 must try top spots in the Marina Market?

That was the first time I had tried the wings place but I'll definitely try it again.

My go to is Poulez Vous for the Korean Fried Chicken bao bun but as usual the queue was too long, so I went for the MKT burger stall where they do excellent smash burgers.

The Stewstore and Hansum are two others that I like.

Parking can be crazy down there.

What in gods name are you babbling on about now.

World hunger? Obesity is an issue in Douglas?

honestly what are you talking about?

If the place decided they are doing sandwiches then that’s it, end of story!

You ok there hun?
Any chance you’d make me a ham and cheese toasty? I’m watching the darts here.

Have any of ye ever tried caviar? And can you buy it anywhere in Cork?

I love my seafood but have never tasted. Thinking of treating myself to it this weekend if it's available at a reasonable price
