I did have to do some level of "don't you know who I am?" as it happens. If the person answering the phone knows me it's always grand, but if not...

I had the sense to book my table for Munster vs Leinster when I was in having dinner on Friday, and knew which manager to ask. Can't be taking any risks with that one.

I was in there Sunday evening, the musicians had heads and beards shaved for Marymount and there was a big raffle, A nice few quid raised for a great cause.

Yes, there's a fella who has his beard shaved every Christmas. Jimmy Murphy or something like that. A boisterous fellow, but a very nice man.

We were in on Friday. A few new things on the regular menu including chicken vol au vont, chicken schnitzel, and one or two other things. They've removed the cheese board from the menu, the pricks.

It's all about the specials in there tbh. Friday and Saturday they always have a nice duo of fish on.

The schnitzel is absolutely class, comes with a chorizo sauce 10/10, the vol au vont is only ok imo

I didn't like the schnitzel. It wasn't a schnitzel like, it was just a piece of breaded chicken with chorizo and a bit of sauce fucked on top. Schnitzel should be beaten down and completely flat.

Finally though, after years of me requesting it, they have hired a few hot waitresses.

Alright Mr Vienna, it might not be a genuine schnitzel but it’s tasty.

There's one in particular I'd be very fond of.

However, her being around half my age and me being married make it very unlikely that she's going to give me anything other than the food I've ordered.

Make your move, if you want to sleep with this young woman then you must display confidence and courage. Do not get drunk, look her straight in the eye and engage her in conversation. Dress to impress, women are more likely to engage if you are presentable. Wear your best cologne.

Can anyone shine any light on the following - I tried to book a restaurant online for Feb - could not book more than 1 month ahead.. so I rang them - and only 1 time slot available for the date in Feb I wanted...
So why do they limit booking online? just as well I didn't wait till it would be within the month

It wasn't Valentine's Day perchance?
