Going up to Dublin for a match I'd always go in there for a Montaga and a pint of milk
The same pizzas are in Lucianos in Glanmire village.

There was a parting of the ways alright but I'm not sure why. You should give the one in Glanmire a go.They were part of my youth - well my single days anyway
Happy days going in there after a few pints, or sometimes just in for a bite to eat. They were gorgeous. I remember hearing at the time that the two brothers fell out over the recipe for the dough, one had it and the other wanted it as well but was told no. Whereupon they split, with the guy knowing the recipe setting up in Glanmire and yerman trying to copy it over on GrandParade. But he only lasted there about a year I think. Might all just have been talk at the time but we really missed Lucianos![]()
The best pizza I’ve ever eaten was Connellys of Leap, absolutely first class.

Much better than that bait thing you got in Romania by the looks of it

Pizza D'Italia?I have forgotten his first name but the surname is Tavolieri. He had at least one pizza takeaway, in the Grand Parade, until he got ill. I think he might have helped his sons Elio and Antonio set up La Tana, or they set it up after he passed. Elio eventually moved on himself to set up Palmento with Antonio remaining with La Tana. I know Elio a long time, back when he was an excellent carpenter. Their uncle set up Lucianos in MacCurtain Street before moving down to Glanmire village.
