If they gave me 12.50 I wouldn’t drink rockshore tbphwy but I admire their moxy all the same.

The big country is a glorious feed, I’d be be no form for drink after it, generally I’d go back to bed

Tom is top operator and probably the best publican in Cork which possibly accounts for Benny’s hatred of Douglas

Tom is indeed Cork's top publican and he operates on another level to Benny.

He stocked Rising Sons products for a while, so it's good to see him helping out the smaller local operators.

He does that Stag stuff from Ballyvourney too. Tom always looks after Cork suppliers.

I can't wait for a feed of pints and a big breakfast in there on Saturday. A Lions match, a big British Isles Breakfast, and 3-4 pints. Get in.

Drove down to.Kinsale tonight and ate in Caitlin Ruth's pop up at Blacks Brewery.

I'd never been to the Brewery before..not sure how long it's open, fuck me what a spot.. it's out beyond the bridge towards dunderrow looking out over the estuary.

Big shot of stainless steel tanks and a still with a beer garden and conservatory out the front. Pint or two of Black's pale ale in the sunshine all by itself was pure magic. Lovely set up.

Caitlin Ruth used to run Deasys in Ring which was brilliant but now has a snack wagon and does these residency type things all over West Cork. Weve been looking for an opportunity to get some of her grub.

Tonight was Mexican. 50 quid a head 5 course set menu on paper plates in the conservatory. Up to the bar for your own drinks pleaseandthankyou. Bit of everything

Absolutely outstanding experience, 5 courses of really well put together Mexican food with the best of Irish produce in a great setting of blacks brewery in Kinsale.

Top class evening which I really enjoyed.

Went to Luigi Malones on Friday. Had a Ribeye Steak. Was bang average. Very chewy and i had it Medium Rare. Wouldnt be enticed to go back there. Service was great but food was very average.
