The Official PROC Restaurant review thread.

Booked a table for a week's time. Looking forward to it.

Menu looks good. I certainly don't mind being slanted and enchanted by a few cocktails. Once I don't hit the pavement...

Got a takeaway from Coriander in Douglas the other night. Absolutely top notch stuff.

Butter Chicken x1
Lamb Jalfrezi x1
Samosa x1 (portion of 3 pieces)
Potato Aloo x 1
Pilau rice x2
Naan x1

€60-odd quid. A little bit expensive, I thought initially (especially given that the Jalfrezi was €20 on its own without a side dish) but it was delicious from start to finish.

There was loads of leftovers too! I have Indian food for my lunch til Thursday I'd say.

Seachurch.

Hadn't been in a few years and had heard they'd changed chef and the menu.

Had prawns, followed by hake , and a passionfruit cheesecake.

110 for 3 courses x2 and 2 glasses of wine.

Was nice enough. Would return.

Lads you'd be better off saving your cash and going abroad.
Was in Portugal a while back and had a top class Monkfish rice( a cross between a cataplana and a paella)with prawns and clams between 2 but tbh could have fed a third person with it, all washed down with a full bottle of Vino Verde. 50 euro including tip.

I'm just saying you're not comparing like with like.
I specifically said you should save your money to go to a country where the value is better.
As for the horseshit from the hospitality industry here about costs. I've worked in that industry most of my life, there are huge profits still being made both by distribution companies and restaurants. I'm aware of this because I work there. The industry here is fucking itself with greed and it will eventually probably cost me my job but I refuse to enable it any further then I already do.

Grand job.

I see Greenes are doing Irish Stew and beef burgers now.

Who are they trying to compete with, Paddy the Farmers?

Very strange direction for them to take. That's glorified pub grub.
