The Official PROC Restaurant review thread.

I have never eaten in the Golden House and I'm sure it's shite but these fuckin Howyiz can fuck back off home

how to those cunts think a spicebag is some culturally important export for fucks sake

Spice bags are some abomination, thankfully they are in most part confined to that shit hole Dublin.

Wouldn’t ya be absolutely mortified ordering one of those travesties

Has anyone tried the Sushi bar in Marks?
Tried the one in Douglas. Got it with some free Percy Pigs, a discount and some of their own brand beers around the time it was launched. €15. Pretty decent, to my taste. Let the sushi come towards room temperature. But I'm not a big sushi eater. Still needed a bag of crisps after splitting the fish into before going out/after going out.

I got the discount/free sweeties with the Sparks card, but since the M&S hack the freebies seem to have dried up. Dunno how anyone would pay full price.

Some snapshots to give you an idea of the grub.

The beer is really good. I preferred the Pale Ale with the sushi over the IPA.

Went to Paladar last weekend.

It was great. Had a reservation so got a handy booth but there seemed to be a pile of walk ins. All very trendy. Having an in house DJ legitimately improves.the atmosphere in there compared to an auld Spotify playlist.

There were two of us, we went for 2 small plates, 2 sharing plates and 2 sides. we were fawking starving

Small splates were Guacamole and a Cured Fish Tostada.

The Guac was excellent, home made tortillas, sour creme and pico de gallo, magic

Tostada was a cured fish carpaccio thing. Also nice

Sharing plates.Pork Tacos, 3.small ones excellent

A fried Chicken and a rice thing. Sold.as a Peruvian, Japanese fusion thing..It was grand but the weakest thing we ordered.

Sides were spicy cabbage which was a banging little dish.

And patatas bravas called something else.

we glugged 4 glasses of a beautiful Uruguayan Albarino

Out the Gap for €127 ex tip.

Overall it was excellent. Really top notch evening atmosphere, service, food and drink all great.

We ordered too much I would drop the chicken and possibly the tostada next time and you'd be out the gap for about €100 which when taking everything into account is exceptional value.

it's a lovely spot
