The Official PROC Restaurant review thread.

This coming from a fella that drives tractors up and down his road to annoy people.

Go back to bed you gormless twat.
I just did it again just now, caused huge tailback and then explained to people behind me why, they all agreed with my action and said they will avoid the road in the future ? It's all about education

I had dinner in Market Lane last night. It was probably the best meal I've had there, and I wouldn't be a fan of the place at all.

I had the mackeral as my starter, which was actually sea bass.
Very nice although I could have done without all the satay sauce ruining it.

For my main I had Mussels. Mussels are Mussels when done properly, so these were grand. Fairly thick white wine and garlic sauce on them, very nice.

The service was grand. It ended fairly sourly when in the middle of presents being handed over (it was a 60th birthday party), we were told they needed the table back and we had to leave.

My opinion on Market Lane is the same as it's always been. I'd never bring someone there and would only ever go if invited and someone else was paying.

Not a hope in hell would I bring herself or work clients there. There are far better restaurants in Cork and I'll never understand why this is a default option for some people when it comes to a special occasion or a work lunch.
