Forgot about him tbh. He got off to a great start but I've seen him a few times lately and he wasn't that great.
But yeah, him too. Still though, I dont think any of the players they've bought recently are as good as they ones they lost in the last few years, such as KDB, Gungaden, David Silva, Kompany et al. Bernardo Silva going now too I think?
Leaving the way they were acquired aside for a minute, they were a bloody good mix of players. Foden has regressed, and Rodri isn't the same player he was before the injury. Reinders is okay, Doku has improved immensely this season alright, Marmoush and Gonzales are pretty meh.
Still a good side of course, and they could win the league again, but unless they hit pay dirt with all their signings, they ain't dominating like they did from 17 to 24 ish.
I see Chelsea have not qualified for Europe either. Be very interesting to see what Alonso can do with them next year. And I fully expect Arsenal to be up there challenging next season again. The likes of United and Liverpool could go either way.
