Not Cork but I think this is worth mentioning.
Captain America's is closing after over 50 years in business. The Cork one went a few years ago, which was a massive blow as I loved the place. You'd be having a burger and a pint next to a guitar signed by David Bowie, or hand written Rory Gallagher lyrics.
They still had a restaurant in Blanchardstown, and their flagship on Grafton Street, but they're closing now as well. Sad. An Irish institution
