The Official Man Utd Thread - Part 3.

[fed up]

Not impressed at all seeing sheep herders cut through our midfield a couple of times in the first half.

If he starts with that mid against city they'll eat us alive.

Think I'll work work a full day on Sunday and turn off the phone.

Nice to see Amass getting a few minutes, need to start seeing him get more opportunities. I like Santos, he does exactly what you want of a midfielder in that position - break up the play and release the ball quickly. I think in certain games (such as Sunday) it could be a better fit to play him with Mainoo instead of Tielemans.

Agree that a defensive minded player should start on Sunday but I’ve been impressed with Tielemans start to life at United, he really lifts the tempo with quick accurate passing which has been sorely needed, the attacking players with profit from his football brain

He might start tielemanns + santos Sunday and then bring on Mainoo if he thinks the games there to be won late on. Id rather he sticks with the best attacking 11 though and go for the win. Jurys out whether thats rashford ahead of cunha though. If shaws any way below 100% fit i hope he doesnt play, those city wingers could have a field day if he does.

Shaw will eat them for breakfast.

Hes a lovely footballer but offers absolutely nothing from a defensive perspective.

Not sure I'd agree with that, without the ball he's been very good on the press, maybe lacks a yard of pace but his work rate is right up there imo.

I wouldn't have him as a number 6 lying deeper in midfield but he's very effective as an 8 with a more defensive player behind him

Now that rashers is back shaw will return to his natural weight in no time
