Bruno is looking for a four year extension and rise in pay.

He's already on 300K a week and bonuses bring that up to 375K.

Mbeumo is on 150K a week

By all means give Bruno that pay rise and extension and sacrifice signing two more players like Mbeumo.

He had a good season 2 years ago, thought he was very poor from what I saw last season.

If they are paying that kind of money why not be in the market for a Tonali etc? Slightly different type of midfielder granted.

60+5 isn't a terrible price in todays money in fairness if he can replicate the form of 2024, they have been scouting him for a good few years in fairness.

Like Baleba, but don't like seeing players down tools when they didn't get the move they wanted.

It's a cautious yes from me though going on his previous form.

In a summer where the market for midfielders has gone a bit crazy this may turn out to be quite an astute decision - if they've judged correctly that last season was an injury-influenced aberration.

It's a gamble for sure, but if he didn't have a stinker last season he'd be twice the price and his wage demand would've grown accordingly.

That's an outlay of €175m in this window to totally revitalise the Man Utd midfield.

65 million is a perfectly acceptable price for Baleba imo.

It could be quite a good signing. He certainly has the engine and right attributes to compliment the likes of Tielemans and Bruno. They can do a lot of the more progressive stuff on the ball that would be beyond Baleba.

It would seem be a good mix on paper at least. I haven't seen enough of Sandro to have any indication how he fits into that mix.

The frustrating thing is why wait the end of August? He wasn't at the WC!

I know they probably have been working on the deal for weeks/months behind closed doors but I feel these deals could get done earlier and get him integrated into the squad and learn his roll within a new team for preseason.

The midfield does look to have some decent depth now if they can get this deal done. Still light at left back and a second striker but I guess they feel Mbeumo and Cunha can chip in upfront if Sesko is unavailable.
