The Official Man Utd Thread - Part 3.

It's an easy thing for Casemiro to say when he's not going to be at the club next year.

Carrick's record since he's come in has been excellent, 10 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses but next season will be a completely different picture with the addition of cup games and Europe, I'm not sure he'll be able to keep this run going next season but I hope he proves me and others on here wrong.

Recruitment is going to be the key factor in any progression or fall off.

It could be a case that the club are keeping their powder dry for awhile in the absence of an obvious choice being available in the manager market
Yerrah Grimsby might sort out that problem for ye

Players should have no say, as soon as they're dropped the back stabbing and agenda's begin again.

Amorim was building, Carrick got a bump but will be exposed badly next season.

Is Bruno doing his pro license? I know United have sent him down that path and he's already got his B in place.
I think you're being very kind to Amorim. He had shown very little to suggest he was building anything other than mediocrity. Carrick played players in the their best positions in a familiar formation and got a an immediate and obvious improvement. That was him benefitting from Amorim's incompetence if anything.

stick to telling us how shit bruno is. a pure bluffer.

I'd say he's a certainty now m8*. Unless Enrique loses his mind and wants to swap winning CLs for barely making them every other year or two.

I also think.it would be a mistake to give him the job, based on the performances.

Prove me wrong Michael, Prove me wrong.

* The match going fan base seem to want him and like it or not, their opinion counts more than the likes of us (and rightfully so).

This is the problem with interims. If they do well, you end up almost obliged to hire them.

There's almost the problem of the club not going out and building a squad to compete on four fronts.
Given what's happened over the past 13 years no matter who comes through the door fans will be skeptical.

With regards to fans liking Carrick, be it match going or not should have nothing to do with it, a well run club would set a cogent strategy to get back to competing and winning the top trophies with the manager/head coach obviously being a critical cog in the wheel.

Maybe Carrick will go on to be successful, Before Pep got the Barca gig he wasn't successful/experienced, likewise Enrique.

I thought Bayern were off their nut appointing Kompany after he took Burnley down but he's got that team playing some superb football and potentially heading to a CL final if they can get past PSG and after beating RM.

I'd like to think Carrick could do something similar but I'm basing that on nothing but blind hope and that hasn't got the club very far in the past.

If they can recruit well this Summer he has a chance but my expectations will remain low!

Yeah calling a player tactically illiterate is a real compliment. theres dozens of posts by you slagging him off. do you really want to be humiliated. this is your one and only out.
