Playing one game a week against mediocre sides doesn't mean he can hack it with the best if they manage to qualify for the CL though.

If he is to get the job give him a short term contract, if he really wants it he should back himself and agree to it.

I had Gaz Breen’s (we’re m8s now) solicitor on to me and I explained that it was a complete accident.

I was watching the game and shouted so loud that my Jack Russell woke up and attacked me just as I was writing “Gary Breen is a nonsense pundit” and I didn’t get to finish the sentence.

I’ve apologised to Gaz for the mix up and he said he’ll give me a shoutout on Premier Sports.

I’d love to see him offered an additional 1 year deal at reduced wages but I’d doubt he’d take it.

You would imagine he could get the same wages and more on an extended deal somewhere like Saudi if he wanted it.

He’s playing great football this season but at 34 maybe the wise decision would be to part ways at the end of the season

Wages probably the issue because he seems happy at United. He'll earn far more in Saudi it's true. United should make an offer and if he accepts, fair enough. If he doesn't, then goodbye.
