It was an interesting post comparing Amorim and Carrick.

The 343 identity was wrt his time at Sporting.

The point he's making about fans/club not enduring a bit of pain to get there in the long term was also valid.

United were playing some decent football this season under Amorim. Yes there were still problems but it was trending upwards.

Erra it was crazy to sack a guy one summer window into a rebuild.

They panicked and backed him into a corner. Who cares what Carra or Scholes think about tactics. Neither has done anything in management. Just loudmouth bluffers.

Uniteds chance creation to my eye at least has flatlined in the last 4 games.

Even if they get Champions league the squad depth is non existent and huge problems in midfield and at fullback

You dont bring in the guy who plays 3-4-3 then sack him for playing 3-4-3.

United were creating high xG totals under Amorim. There was steady improvement there.

Those rattling on about last season are talking through their hole. Ten Hag left an absolute shitshow and he still got us to a European final.

Its done now, it doesnt matter but the Arsenal and City wins aside United have been muck under Carrick. Late rescue shows from Big Ben clearly isnt sustainable.

He was a dud holding the team back due to his insistence on playing a formation that wasn't working, and having zero tactical nous. The team had improved, but that's because he brought them to rock bottom and Ineos actually signed some decent players. Nothing to do with the bluffer who thought it was ok to play Bruno and Cas in a two man midfield.
