The Official Man Utd Thread - Part 3.

I think the way things went with Amorim is definitely a turning point in attracting top talented managers.

All these guys talk and they can do their due diligence very easily.

The other side of it is if it works out great if not I’m 10-15m euro richer.

Alonso won’t be short on offers and I doubt United will be high on his priority list
Talk of Tuchel, Naglesman and Ancelloti from the likes of Neville. Utd pay well, so there might be a chance.

But I'd imagine none of those guys will be short of offers either. I said 5 years ago on here that if Utd kept going the way they're going they'd do well to be getting the likes of Eddie Howe by now.

I think Glasner or Ireola is far more likely. They might work, but I wouldn't bet on it. Of the three above, Ancelloti whose legacy is assured might fancy one last challenge/payout if it goes tits up option.

Naglesmann for me would be top of that list, I’d gladly take Tuchel or Anceolllti aswell, I think Carlo is unlikely, his heavy lifting is done id imagine.

I can’t see United wanting a back 3 again anytime soon so not sure about Glasner.

I think Ireola is a brilliant coach but would United be too big for him? At least the guys above have been at top clubs like Bayern, Real, PSG etc that matters

Thats the thing about it though, you just don't know with Ireola, Glasner et al.

Then again, Utd ruined world class coaches like Louis, Jose and Olly aswell.

In short, abandonY all hope.

He who expects nothing shall never be disappointed

I’ve adopted this tactic since Ten Hag got sacked.
I tried it as well.

But then that fucking hope sneaks back in. Slowly at first. So you don't even notice the mother fucker.

Then Utd play some devastatingly beautiful attacking football against Bournemouth (I didn't even care about the shit defending, because that is easier to fix) and now you know its there but there's no way to evict it now.

And 4 or 5 weeks later...... Wilcox gets some hurty feelings....

Just 40 games in the whole season for United. That's mad! 38 League + Grimsby and Beighton.

Other years, there'd be a Community Shield to kick off, League Cup, Fa Cup runs and loads of European games.

It might help some of their players going to the World Cup as they won't be too burned out by the end of May.

Ya it’s a funny one for sure, it will no doubt hurt them financially when you think of all the ticket sales and TV coverage and sponsorship they miss out on.

The other side of it is in one of the recent seasons I think they played 67 games and then had the euros which is far too much,

If Carrick can get a tune out of them between now and May having less games could be a good thing and set them up well for next year
