The Official Man Utd Thread - Part 3.

Are myself and MOE the only posters still in our 30s?

The first United match I remember was v Arsenal at Highbury 1997. Those blue United jerseys were fantastic.

Few of us here certainly have a good few years on you....to say the least!! :(

First sporting occasion I watched was AI football final in 1973.

Second was Liverpool Newcastle cup final in 1974!
Few weeks later my Dad took me to watch Cork beat Kerry in Killarney. I foresaw a lifetime of joy and bliss following Cork footballers!! FFS:mad:

I've been to about 10 arsenal v man utd games , first was in about 85/86 . Pay on the gate ,fighting all over finsbury park and getting searched by a cop who took my biro off me the bastatd 😀.. First football memory would be the WC 1974 ..

My aul fella remembers an Arsenal United match from the 70s and he can still remember the Police chasing hooligans through the Tube station. I was over there with him a few years ago and things are a bit calmer now!!

Whitesides goal in 85 final popped up yesterday, He was some size of a young fella, Very good player with that needed nasty edge,
Moran was sent off in the second half and didn't receive a medal..

Huge difference these days. I loved going back then. Now I only go just for my daughter who loves the game .

My dad would take me to the cross for celtic games but I don't have many memories. I do remember all the cork Albert's and cork utd games before cork city came about in 1984. Followed city all over the country for 20 years but while I still look out for them and always buy the new shirt for some reason I only go to the cross a couple of times a season these days.

Gareth is a cute hoor. Biding his time for Booooooobin Amorim to punch himself out.

Then seal the deal with Jimmy the 🐀 over a chummy dinner and bottle of wine.

Some operator.
