They've no interest in making/keeping tickets affordable. Those kind of "customers" probably don't spend a lot on match day in the ground and in the shop.

The broadcasters already censor half the stuff from the crowds anyway so they won't care if the atmosphere is affected. They'll plug in fan noise like in that scene in Escape to Victory if needs be.

The Kroenkes are no different before you get all defensive.

Someone (Donny maybe?) posted a quote from Hoeness at Bayern about how some mooted ticket price increase in Germany would end up netting the club €2m.

They didn’t bother with it because
“That’s nothing to us”, but it is real money to the ordinary punters paying it.

My main worry with SJR as a non-utd fan was that he’d treat United like a weekend hobby and fire billions into them Abramovic/Walker style.

I think he’ll be happy out that PSR will prevent him from doing what he wasn’t going to do anyway.

Some of the PR own goals are a bad look for Britain’s richest man.

-staff lay-offs
-ticket price hikes
-cutting of cup final perks for employees
-begging the government for investment in wembley of the north.
-Retaining ETH and allowing him spend another £200m

All this as 27% shareholder. The Glazer boys have played a blinder on this one.

Thats the key point here, the difference is a drop in the ocean. It leaves a very bad taste in the mouth for loyal fans who have all watched the irony of Rathcliffe & Co squandering millions with their inability to deal with the managerial situation during the Summer. Whatever about the adult prices, no concessions for kids and pensioners is a disgrace.
