The Official Man Utd Thread - Part 3.

All the funny men.

But if you go in to one of their threads it's wah wah waaahhhhh

I suppose since it's the international break ye'll be squatting here?
And you never spent time squatting in other threads?

ETH needs more time. Can we talk about the fact Mainoo can’t actually run? Technically very good but can’t stir for someone so young and it’s not faster he is going to get.

On a side note, a draw at Villa is actually a good result for anyone but they were on a bit if a comedown from midweek. Was an awful game.

Surely fatigue is an issue? He can’t be as slow as he’s looked last few games.

He ran after Barkley yesterday at one stage and it was like he was running across a ploughed field.

Brilliant on the ball but if that’s him at top speed he’s always gonna struggle.

I did point that out a few months back -> here

The one thing that'll put a ceiling on his progression looks to be his physicality and stamina. He can be nippy enough over a 5-10 yard dash but doesn't look to (yet) have the engine for mid-to-long range runs - going forward or backwards. In the 4-0 loss to Palace he looked like he was running through mud after Olise...who wasn't even going anywhere near full pelt. In a world where pressing is key for many sides he's not shown himself to be overly strong so far.

He'll always need more mobile players around him to be fully effective.

Not yers anyway. It's a ghost town.

And the amount of traffic this thread gets for a 14th place club........... Squatters is right.
ETH needs more time.
I'll pass on your regards to Billionaire Jim.

Scholes wasn't much of an athlete either. He did fine.

It was as bad as the Palce Liverpool game on Saturday.

Lol, writing a fella off before he's turned 20.

Obviously he's the first teenager to be initially brilliant and then have a run of poor form.............
Or...he just wasn't brilliant in the first place.

A few decent half turn bursts every now and then does not make him Luka.

Agreed also that he's way too young. He should be nowhere near first choice for United or England. Let him develop without the pressure of all that, and he may one day be good enough.
