Thanks for that,Don't know much about 'um caught 1 down in kerry years ago pretty much by mistake. I often drive between JL tunnell early in the morning and whn tide is incoming I notice the movement of what I think is big fish I wonder are they sea trout salmon mullet or bass or all of the above?
Mackarel still being caught in West Cork. Full boot load off the rocks at Shelly Beach near Rosbrin. Feathers. 22 caught off Kilcrohane pier using german sprat, good size, 1 1/2 each side of full tide.(Baltimore -30 mins)
was up the back of crosshaven recently, donno that name of it, theres a viewing point where you can go down on the rocks. plenty of lads with buckets of mackerel finishing up after a days fishing. must get down there myself again
