I dunno, never seen a mackerel before, the look big enough to me.
We were throwing back the smaller ones.

Unfortunately i have not yet gotten an opportunity to get out fishing for them this time around, but according to reports here they seem to be smaller than usual.

I don't eat fish but there was some instinct that wanted me to catch more.
It was actually unreal, I might start eating fish again.

We literally had to stop after 20 minutes as we'd caught enough.
And seeing the beach from a different perspective is pretty cool too.

Eat one of the ones you caught tonight, nothing nicer than a freshly caught mackerel.

Gowly just put a bit of flour/ salt/ pepper on a plate, coat the fillets, and fry in a bit of butter or oil..... Skin side down first and then flip...

Omega3 Heaven.

They were beaching themselves last night and the seagulls were just sitting waiting to pick them up lol
The bass are gorging themselves on the macks too
There is good seatrout fishing inside the harbour but make sure you have a salmon licence if you are fishing for them
