Yep! They're here at last. Just inside Roches Point yesterday. Lots and lots of them. Had 2 for supper last night and having 2 more for lunch today. Yummy yum. Going out again today for more.

I eat mackerel all year round. did you catch them yourself?

I remember them one time, when I was a smally, breaking down in Crosshaven. On the beach below the old Mexican Bar. I got in the water and swam with them. They were chasing the sprats and were in such a frenzy you could pick them up off the rocks and the shore. No fishing line needed that day. Simply pick them up. Came home with 50 or 60 I'd say.

Yep. We were out there for an hour and nothing happening and about to go inshore to try for cod when all of a sudden they appeared from nowhere. We started hauling them in. Perfect size..........not too big, not too small. Happy days are here again.
