Sickening defeat, two absolutely stupid penalties to give away

Hard to take, after playing so well. Both challenges on Rudiger were needless and obviously he made the most of them. Referees in these type of away games at the ESL 6 are only looking for reasons to hand the home team any contentious decision. Game management and situational awareness needs to be better.

A positive performance otherwise. Firpo looks better, Forshaw filled in capably in the Phillips role and Gelhardt can be special.

At least Norwich lost. Once Newcastle lose at Liverpool and Burnley and Watford draw tomorrow night, then that's a pretty solid set of midweek results. One week closer to January and not too much damage done.
