The Official Liverpool Thread - Part 2

How does FSG putting the club up for sale effect the likelihood of big money transfers in the next few windows? Presumably they’ll be unlikely to splash the cash while they are trying to sell the club?

My best guess is that it'll be a relatively swift process and well before the PL season ends either:

- The new owners will be in place or
- FSG will have brought in significant minority shareholders or
- FSG will take the club off the market

An extended period of uncertainty won't benefit the team or FSG's pocket.

If it's anything like their transfer business, they'll likely already be a couple of steps down the road with at least one interested party already.

Strap yourselves in for a fair few weeks of internet speculation like this

Bit like the summer transfer window when it's best to ignore all the waffle and speculation until beginning of August to see who is holding a scarf above their head at the club ground.

Likewise, with this. Ignore until sale is announced. So far club has been linked with;

Ratcliffe/INEOS
Bain Capital
Dubai (again)
Various Yanks

Russians are out of the equation.
Hopefully not Amazon/Bezos - they made a right bollix of Tolkien!! They could do similar with a football club!!
