Salah, of course, can never be replaced. Agree it is hard to see Liverpool challenging for the big prizes(especially if they get a few more injuries) but they have enough good players to be in top 5 or 6. Bradley & Ekitike coming back from injury will be a big boost I hope after Christmas.

I disagree on Elliot. He was player of the tournament at U21 Euros a year ago. He has done enough previously and now deserves to be given the opportunity to prove he is plenty good enough at 23 to be a regular for Liverpool. I do not understand how he could be almost chased out of the club by Slot after playing in a PL winning team. Is Frimpong batter than him?
I'd replace Elliott, Chiesa and Jones but this late in the window its unlikely that there'll be many comings and goings. I do expect/hope to see a winger brought in that will start and a CB, I'd take stones on a free tbh. It was only the first pre season friendly but they looked so much faster and direct against Sunderland than the entirety of last season.

I doubt he quite has enough to be a first team regular. But, given he's trying to re-ignite his career after a lost season, and there's a new manager on board...it's worth keeping him involved for the first half of the season at least.
Maybe he play a useful squad role. Or maybe he'll play enough to put him in the shop window for a decent move (...which, on paper, the Villa move looked like)
He started 2 PL games in the 2024/25 season. Both after the title was secured. 16 sub appearances. He made a contribution but clearly wasn't a key guy.
