I'm sure Noel's wumming here is first class and all but I ain't reading any of it cos we know word for word what he writes about every topic anyway, be it Liverpool or Utd.

Tell ya what though. I'm the owners of Liverpool and I sack the manager this morning. Christ, but he's got the entire squad playing shite. Every bloody one of 'em. Top 4 was there for the taking. Chelsea pissing away points two weeks out of three. Villa heading south, and we'll still manage to come 6th I reckon. Unbelievable.

It’s the damage to the players that is the biggest concern. Their heads have gone. Some of them are around long enough and should be showing up better but it’s the collective loss of confidence in the manager and then the fragility across each line which is causing these bang average performances. It seems everyone can see it but the owners. They could salvage something even still if they made a short term appointment even if they had to wait till the summer to have a longer term appointment come in. There is enough talent in the squad to catch and overtake Villa and Chelsea but the players heads are gone under this manager. I never wish the team to lose but a draw midweek if it resulted in a change in manager such that we got CPL football next yr would be acceptable.

Do the players have to take any responsibility here or is all just the manager?

I understand the buck stops with the manager but from what I can see the fans are giving these players a pass for showing absolutely no will to win matches.

Everyone seems happy enough to phone it in and blame Slot.

Not true from what i see online anyway among the more popular LFC forums.

Taken with a pinch of salt obviously but Im reading that Slot travels back to The Netherlands regularly because his family doesn't live in Liverpool and that the players often get up to 3 days off and that the intensity in training is non existent, might explain why the players look knackered half way through the second half of games.

Alison threw the ball out quickly to Dom there at one stage to lead a counter attack and two of the coaches were out telling him to slow down. FFS

Friend was at game yesterday and said it was worst atmosphere in ground for ages .fans frustrated and players look disinterested and like they dont know what they are doing at times.

Must have been a frustrating one. The crowd tried a few times to get going but the team just let them down.

Regarding the players, if they're taking the instructions literally that's one thing but there's no excuse for losing out on 50/50s and lack of effort.
Gakpo's continued inclusion is baffling too. His first shot on goal was worse than anything I saw my u8s team do that morning. The ball was completely over to the left hand side of his left foot, he was to the left of goal. And he still threw his left leg at it. This is a top level pro we're talking about. Hasn't got the cop on to get control and retain and lay off to someone else in the box. He'd have had at least 2 options
