He has been manager since July 2024 and his family have not moved to the UK. Every chance he get's he fly's back home, which is understandable but it doesn't scream commitment to the club and it undoubtedly has an impact on his performance. Also, he's just not a very good coach.

Slots approach has been dire for 14 months now. An insane autumn/winter purple patch from Salah got them a 8 point lead over a poor arsenal and city challenge and they free wheeled over the line.

Spends first in a hour “controlled possession” bore fest. Find themselves on dire need of a goal then and last 30 ends up as feeding time at the zoo. 10 injury time goals (winning/losing) shows the absolute chaos and complete failure of any sort of control..

He should be sacked regardless of CL. I don’t think they’ll get it and if they do it’ll be more down to how shit villa/chelsea are and how poor utd were in first 20 games.

If he’s not sacked the day after the season ends at the latest then next season will be more of the same.

Salah/Gapko/McAllister at a minimum need to be binned. Without a specialist dm and a diaz/mane type forward then they are fucked.

I'll tell you what though, Slot has continuously let down by the players he backs. Vergil as captain, Gakpo (cleared the ball off the Wolves line FFS), Salah ruined the overlap.

All 3 have repeatedly floundered at key moments in key games.

At lot of this is his own making and he's picking the latter 2 continuously so it's really him to blame ...

I didn't see the game. Sounds like i was lucky.

Bit the pattern above is one I recognise from quite a few games this season. Slot seems spooked after that initial terrible run of poor form.

He partially addressed that by trying to keep things tight, but is now struggling to strike a balance. It's feast or famine.
