The Official Liverpool Thread - Part 2

I had a source up until about a year ago, face value, sadly no more. Went over recently to the Burnely game, hospitality in Brodies lounge. Its a nice spot but the tickets are a rip off. Will have to sign up now for membership. Don't the tickets go onsale twice a year?
Yeah pre and post Xmas.

I looked into hospitality too but its a shocking price

Ya, I think i crunched the numbers on this a while back and you've got around a 50% chance of getting 1 or more tickets in a season via that scheme.

Given the price of the other options those aren't bad odds.

I was hoping to get one for the cup game but an 8pm kick off ruined that.

Window closed. Not clear, so is Jacquet signed or is it merely a commitment to sign in the summer? If the latter, that would make me uneasy. So many ‘nailed on’ transfers have gone tits up for us the last few years.

Chelsea's use of Strasbourg is fucked up. Recalled a CB and sent the lad from Dortmunf there in his place. It would make you think twice about agreeing to any sort of loan deal with them

He will join in the summer. I think the reason he was signed now is because competition for him was very strong with a few clubs including Chelsea looking to sign him right now. So I would say the club’s hand was forced a little on that one in terms of timing.

Only time will tell how the signing works out. It’s a lot of money but he will obviously carry plenty of resale value even if he struggles. From the clips I’ve seen; he looks strong, quick and assertive but fairly raw. Often see him going to ground to tackle which isn’t generally the best sign of a defender but he’s very young. I don’t think anyone can really be jumping for joy on it as success is far from certain.

It’s a pity the deal for Geertruda wasn’t done as I think it was the ideal deal to help the defence see out the second half of the season. The depth back there is a worry to say the least.

Is it capacity problems or % of season ticket holders?

With United you pay your annual membership and youve access to all home fixtures .

Fair nuff. Hadn’t actually seen it anywhere that he is confirmed signed. Signed now but joining in the summer; presumably loaned to Rennes in that case given he is a (signed) Liverpool player.

Agree they are massively short at the back. Relying on good fortune re defensive injuries until the end of the season is never a good place to be in.

On the positive side, if the forwards have gotten their sh1t together it'll give more breathing space to the defence.
