Really aggressive, front-foot defending from Kerkez.

Old problem re-emerges though with that line-up. He has zero chemistry with Gakpo and his off-the-ball runs are usually ignored.

Nail on the head. Very intense and aggressive from Kerkez who got on top of his duel with Saka and sent him packing early. But he is not doing enough with the ball. He seems very indecisive and lacking confidence when making passes. Gakpo constantly ignores his runs too as you say which is painful.

Gakpo in general is an issue in that he’s always among the chances and scores goals as a result but his general play is really poor. That’s an enigma for everyone.
