Wouldn’t be worried about that, that’s their first time playing together. Neither were great and Isak does need to start playing well soon but more games together could develop an understanding.

Genuinely not taking the piss now, but Isak was atrocious last night. Looks a shadow of the player he was at Newcastle. Didn't see the game at the weekend, but I've seen a good few games now where he's done little or nothing

I would say it was a very soft one, but as you say with VAR you’re always likely to be caught. Brainless from Bastoni. If the ref allows the earlier one he’s probably not giving that spotter.

Poor fare overall but Liverpool definitely the better team. Really doesn’t say much for Inter being at home and barely creating a chance against a team bereft of any form or confidence esp at the back.

First goal. If it takes VAR close to 5 mins to decide then that's a pretty clear indicator that the on-field decision should stand.

For the pen, that's should fundamentally not be a pen even in modern football. Did the shirt pull give Bastoni an advantage? Yes, but not enough for the punishment to decide the outcome of the. VAR set up the replay to start with a freeze frame of the shirt pull at it's worst point - which can bias the ref's decision imho
