The Official Liverpool Thread - Part 2

On paper, the fixture list after the international break is somewhat kind, at least on paper anyway. But we know how that all ends.

There is an away trip to Spurs and also one to Arsenal but otherwise there is a run of games where the team has to click and has to start winning.

If Slot can’t get the team winning those games then he will be sacked. There is no excuses for not winning those run of games. Long throws, corners etc etc, there is no excuses. He has to get the team motoring in that run or he will be gone.

I can't see that happening. FSG don't operate like this. Slot has banked a lot of credit and even with some more bad results, he'll get time. Mind you, if top 4 becomes impossible, then things might change.

Liverpool were convincing v Villa and excellent v Madrid. Poor against City but possibly unfortunate with the disallowed goal. Unlucky with the deflection and Dokus goal was a worldly.

Utd signed Cunha and Mbueno and they were obviously experienced and proven PL performers. It's much harder for players from other leagues to adjust. Isak didn't have a proper pre season and has injuries so he's not at his best yet. The other signings will take time to adjust and IMO Slot will bet leeway because of this
