and didn't run down his contract to leave on a free
and wasn't leaving a title winning side

I don't think he would've been booed to any serious extent. You'll always get the odd nutter obviously.

There were a confluence of circumstances which came together which led to that reaction.

I wouldn't have booed him personally but the fans who chose to do so are well within their rights.

Plus I think the club dropped the ball 18+ months back. But booing a handful of suits, some of which have left the club, isn't really do-able or half as satisfying

He should never have entered this season with less than a year left on his contract.

Yep, ticks a lot of boxes in Liverpool's recruitment style.

If Kerkez and him are both brought on board, along with Bradley, you're looking at some serious pace & dynamism in the full-back positions. You could even see Frimpong get some minutes in Salah's position for some games.

Would place even more emphasis on the midfield to be able to plug gaps if the ball gets turned over when the full-backs are upfield.

If Frimpong and Kerkez are bought I can see VVD and Ibu having a nervous breakdown around October. If we don't sign a proper DM, their breakdowns will come in preseason!
