The Official Liverpool Thread - Part 2

Well that was pretty satisfying. Bradley maybe hamstring and Konate looked a bit shook on the ground at the end. Hopefully not another injury. Some pressure throughout the game. Bradley was immense. And Caoimheeeeen with another penalty save. 💪
Be very disappointing to lose either or both, especially Konate. He was very good tonight after a poor outing Sunday.

A good but funny game tonight. We were much the better team but Madrid were majorly depleted infairness. The two pen misses, especially Mbappe’s were big moments. I think the main thing is winning and keeping momentum going but injuries from a game like that especially when 2-0 up, would be a big dampener on it.

Hope they can continue this rich vein of form through to Sunday and put a bit of a nail in the city coffin.
Exactly

The manager has them setup that they work hard and don’t look like getting cut open. It’s not maybe as exciting going forward as Klopps style but it’s working. He deserves huge credit, irrespective of the fact he inherited a squad who were challenging for the title last season.

This is a good Liverpool squad even with Alisson/TAA/Jota on the sidelines, and potentially Konate joining them.

I know there are older Liverpool fans of the 70s/80s era who are a bit like the Cork hurling contingent and expect to challenge at the top of the table or it’s a failure every yr, but there is also a reality check of the last 30+ yrs needed, the club have 1 league title and a few solid CPL runs, so this is becoming a big deal now. Enjoy this - there were years and years in the 90s and 00s that the club were way off challenging for the title, this is great stuff.

Right lads ye've had year fun. Ye can go back to last season's form now.

Thanks in advance

Best regards

We were good last season too m8. Last season’s form would probably have us top now as well but just not by as much.

An injury to Konate would really put us under pressure. He’s a brilliant CB.
